Kichijoin is a Shingon sect in buzan faction. It was protected by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1587, entered Hasegaji and formed a faction.
Front of the temple. The roof tile of the bell tower in front of the gate was so damaged as to slip down. Due to weathering due to the flow of time, or did it get fucked by strong winds and damaged? The cause is uncertain, but the appearance that the old bell tower is damaged makes me feeling deeply fascinating. I was concerned that the whole old bell tower would be further damaged unless repairs were made quickly.
However, I like  the sorrow which can not meet the appearance of other temple.

吉祥院は真言宗豊山派。新義真言宗の一派。すなわち弘法大師空海を始祖とし、真言宗中興の祖・興教大師覚鑁（1095年-1144年）を開祖とする。

寺の正面、門前にある鐘楼の屋根瓦が滑落するほどに傷んでいた。時の流れによる風化のせいか、それとも強風に煽られ傷んでしまったのか。原因は定かではないが、古びた鐘楼の傷むその姿が私には深く味わいを感じ魅力的。早く修繕を施さなければ鐘楼全体が更に傷むのではないか、と気にかけながら、それでいて他の寺には出会えない哀愁が好き。
