Tokugawa Shogun mausoleum
The mausoleum of the former Tokugawa family who was gorgeous was burned down in the war damage. In the summer of 1945, the Cultural Heritage Protection Committee unearthed the remains of generals from the burial mausoleum. After careful investigation of the mausoleum, They was rebuilt a new one in Zojoji.
Shogun Tokugawa, the first generation, Ieyasu Tokugawa (1603 ') took office as it. People who reigned as monarch of Japan for 264 years until the 15th Tokugawa Yoshinobu (1867 ') was it.

徳川将軍家墓所～徳川家霊廟～
豪華絢爛であった旧徳川家霊廟は戦災にて焼失。昭和33年夏、文化財保護委員会は焼失した霊廟から将軍らの遺骨を発掘。霊廟の綿密な調査を行った後、増上寺に新たに改葬した。
徳川将軍家は、初代徳川家康(1603')が征夷大将軍に就任。その後第15代徳川慶喜(1867')が大政奉還するまで264年間にわたり武家社会を含む日本の頂点に君臨した。
